Fixing A War
(Feature Documentary)

FIXING A WAR is a new feature documentary following the lives of ordinary Ukrainians who – through economic necessity, idealism or chance – now find themselves working as 'fixers' for hard news journalism and war correspondence as their home is transformed into a living war zone.

For the first time the role of the fixer will be shown in a feature length documentary. Usually out of sight and sometimes uncredited, we will see the crucial role fixers play in news creation and gain insights into what stories and news we see on our screens and read in our newspapers.

At the heart of the film are the fascinating dynamics at play between the local producer/fixer, the international journalist, and their subject matter, as together they try to align their motivations and intentions to tell one of the most important stories of our age - the war in Ukraine.
